how to Mosquito control in town councils

Weekly measures

Check for mosquito breeding in the following places:

Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential mosquito breeding sites in various areas, including unused containers in open areas and beneath bushes, open and closed drains, gully traps, ground puddles, tree holes, joss paper burners, outdoor litter bins, scupper drains in common areas, bin centers, multi-storey car park drains, and any other containers. This comprehensive approach aims to locate and address all potential breeding grounds to effectively control mosquito populations.

Fornightly measures

Conduct thorough inspections of roof drainage systems and gutters in bin centers, linkways, overhead bridges, and other structures equipped with roof drainage.

Following the inspection, apply sand granular insecticide to various potential breeding sites, including gully traps, manhole cover handle depressions, lightning conductor pits, stop-cock pits, valve chambers, and sumps.

This approach aims to address potential mosquito breeding grounds effectively in these areas.

Desturction of mosquito breeding

Eliminate any identified mosquito breeding sites discovered during inspections and either remove or treat potential breeding habitats with insecticide.

Report all instances of breeding detected, along with observed potential breeding areas, to school management to facilitate the implementation of necessary interim or permanent measures.

Fogging

Fogging operations are initiated exclusively in response to either a mosquito nuisance problem or a disease outbreak. This targeted approach ensures that fogging is conducted only when necessary to address specific mosquito-related concerns effectively.
